Warrior’s Testament (戦士の遺言)

In a land where fallen warriors refuse to rest until they’ve met their fate on the battlefield, their comrades honor their dying wish: “If I cannot die in battle, I need no grave.” Players oversee the final rites of these unfortunate soldiers, tending to their graves and sending others to their destined wars. Each round becomes a solemn ritual balancing reverence for the dead with the glory of the fight, as players strive to uphold the warriors’ final testament.

Warrior’s Testament is a trick-taking game for 3–5 players in which each round represents the struggle between the call of battle and the final rest of the grave. Players play cards in traditional trick-taking format following a must-follow rule, with blue cards serving as permanent trumps. Certain ranks (4, 6, and 8) trigger special effects that manipulate players’ “graves”, face-down cards representing the fallen, or retrieve them back into hand.

Throughout the three rounds, players must decide whether to commit cards to the battlefield or reserve them for their churchyard. Points are lost through “humiliation points” based on remaining hand cards and grave markers, while glory comes from achieving a perfect warrior’s end — dying with no hand and no graves.
