Balance the Ark

Balance the Ark is a trick-taking game for 3-4 players. Players take on the role of « Noah » and must balance the animals on the ark to prevent it from sinking in the raging ocean. Players place the cards they have acquired on either the left (bow) or right (stern) side of the Ark card in front of them. The Ark’s center of gravity is off-center, so the weight of the same card changes depending on whether it is placed on the left or right side. Players aim to make the weights on the left and right sides equal at the end of the round. Achieving a good balance will ensure the voyage is completed safely, and players will receive points. A particularly good balance will see a dove fly back to your Ark with good news (giving you an advantage in tiebreakers).

• Trick-taking with must-follow and trump cards.
• The winner of the trick and the player who lost the most places the cards they played on either the left or right side of their ark.
• Aim for a stable voyage by skillfully placing cards on the unbalanced ark!
