Multi-Value Auction (Fukuka Kyōbai)
n a peculiar marketplace where different currencies do not have a simple shared value, bidders compete for groups of goods while sellers decide which offer is most attractive to them. A high number is not always the best bid: the color of the currency, the needs of the auctioneer, and the long-term value of the goods all matter. As each sale reshapes both players’ hands and scoring opportunities, every auction becomes a question of what value really means.
Fukka Kyōbai (Multi-Value Auction) is an auction card game about unstable value, hand pressure, and seller incentives. Each auction offers a small group of goods, but players bid with different colored currencies whose usefulness changes depending on what the auctioneer wants and how everyone is building their final score. The twist is that the auctioneer is not forced to accept the highest numerical bid: they choose the winning bidder, taking that bidder’s currency into their own hand while giving away the goods.
This creates a tense market of indirect negotiation and tactical signaling, where a bid must look attractive to the seller without ruining the bidder’s own endgame position. Scoring ties everything together, as collected goods multiply or constrain the value of remaining currencies, making each auction feel like a tradeoff between short-term acquisition and long-term portfolio management.
